Friday and Banquet

We will be helping out tomorrow starting at 745 and will ikely be done by 2:00 If you can only make part of the time still come. Please bring back any equipment to turn in tomorrow as well.

Monday June 3rd we will have our softball banquet in the commons starting at 600. As tradition in the past years, we will buy the main course of italian items from the money raised parking cars. I would like families to bring the following.

Seniors- Paper plates, napkins, cups, silverware

Juniors- Drinks

Sophomores- desserts

Freshmen- Sides or salads

Please RSVP the number attending per family by Saturday noon so I know how much main course food to buy.

SB Off-Season

On Friday, we have our service project for the widows mite rummage. Those that can make it pleaae arrive by 745 AM and we will go till about 2. If you can only make a portion that is fine. Let me know if you are unavailable.

Our softball banquet will be announced once we are eliminated from the tourney.

We have our fundraising scheduled for July 24, Wednesday. It runs from 7 to 7. Please make plans to help us for a 4 hour shift that day. We make 1500 for the softball program. If we don't have enough volunteers we will have to share the money with another sport. Schedule to come out after the banquet.

Last, varsity players let me know who wants to order the panoramic by Tuesday. Mounted or unmounted. I will not be mounting this year. They charge $12 for mounting. Price depends on amount ordered...35 to 45 each.

JV Added Game for Wednesday / KML VAR Update

We got another JV opportunity for the girls for Wednesday, May 15 vs St Catherine's. I was able to talk with their coach at the varsity game and get it arranged. So the JV season will now be extended to Wednesday. The game will be at 430 and likely at St Cats. I will give you all the definitive schedule in next weeks weekly email.

Please let coaches know ASAP if there is a reason you can not make this game.

The varsity plays at Kettle Moraine Lutheran near Jackson on Monday for 2 games. We play at 4 vs Lake Country and then at 6 vs either the winner or loser of KML and WISCO.

Softball - Week 9 - May 5-11

TUESDAY, APRIL 30 - POYNETTE - First, ladies make sure your parents have gotten this email. The Poynette jamboree Friday will be 2 games. We play at 4 vs Poynette at the high school and at 6 @ Poynette village park. The girls will be dismissed at 1230 with bus leaving at 1245.

I will have fruit, Gatorade, water and cousins sandwiches for the girls. We will snack what we can in between games and plan to return immediately following our game...no food stop.

No carry in coolers are allowed at the games. I have attached the schedule and rules for those who like to read.

Last, Tuesday is our last regular season home game. It is a DH vs Thomas More and will be senior night. We will have a celebration of our 2 seniors and then meet to have pizza in the commons following the games.

TUESDAY, APRIL 30 - Looking at tomorrow, I doubt there will be a jv game. I will of course email the minute we decide to cancel the game. We will have all practice 445 to 615 inside....meet and be ready by 430 to stretch. Dominican has a fast draining diamond so we have a chance to get our Thursday game in. There will be a jv game that night.

MONDAY, APRIL 29 - Varsity game postponed and possibly cancelled. We have indoor practice till 445 right after school. Varsity will meet after and be done by 5.

April 7-14 Thursday Update

Our varsity game is postponed. Varsity will practice 4:45 to 6:15 today. JV can just have off. Tomorrow V/JV will practice at 3:15 outside till 5:30. I do not know an inside option for Friday at this time. I understand some JV girls may not be available since this is a change from earlier. Just let us know if you cannot make it Friday.

Woodside Trip CANCELLED Due to Poor Weather

Baseball & softball decided to cancel our trip to play at the Woodside Complex due to the poor weather. I know the storm may be past but the temperature & wind pose some poor playing conditions & I just don't want to have our young ladies risking injury in those conditions. Our hotel will be cancelled & refunded & I will return any money turned in for food to the girls today or tomorrow.

For today, 4/10, we will only lift at 415 and then be done. Tomorrow, 4/11, varsity will have practice inside from 445 to 615 if the game gets postponed.

I would like to encourage the young ladies to consider volunteering to help this Saturday night at Taste & See. This event helps our school not only raise money for tuition assistance but also gives those who support our mission at Shoreland the ability to see our wonderful facility in person. It is also an opportunity for our ladies to meet those supporters & let their light shine. You can contact Joy Lee or my wife if you are interested in helping.

Woodside Trip Info

I have attached a letter with information for our upcoming trip. Ladies, please make sure you pass this information on to your parents in case I missed their email. Don't forget to return signed forms I sent home on Friday. I also need the money turned in by Friday for food. We are likely taking a bus.
