Pacer Track & Field Update for March 21

I just received word from our athletic director that our indoor track meet at UW-Parskide that was scheduled for next Saturday, March 21, has been cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns. We had previously planned on having limited practices during spring break in order to have some athletes prepared for that meet. Now, we will make the declaration that there will be no practice next week while we are on spring break. 
 
As other decisions are made concerning adjustments to practice and meet schedules, we will keep you all as informed as possible. As of this moment, the rest of our season is still on but it is highly likely we will have to alter plans. Today, we plan on meeting with the team after school and then practicing as previously scheduled. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me and please stay tuned for more information that will surely come. 

Track & Field Records

I just finished updating a few records on our SLPacers.org webpage. First, I updated the Metro Classic Conference records as they were not updated after last year's meet and there were several conference meet records broken both last year and this year. 
 
Second, I updated our Girls' School Records to include the NEW 4x200m Relay (800m Relay) record that our girls set on Saturday afternoon. Angelina Innamorato, Kyrie Patterson, Madelyn Kassulke, and Rebekah Salfer combined to run a 1:50.22 which broke the previous record (set in 2012) of 1:50.68. Congratulations, ladies!
Freshman Sam Malliet high jumped 6’ on Wednesday at the conference meet which tied the conference meet record! You’ll see Sam's name listed with two other guys in the Metro Classic records on our website.
