CHEER UPDATE 10/4

Hi Team!

Hope you all enjoyed homecoming week!  We have one final game on October 14th, which is Senior night!

The following are the remaining practices for the season (reminder NO practice on Wednesday, Oct 5th):

  • Monday, Oct 10th, 3:15-5:15 (Mr. Grow will be in charge)
  • Wednesday, Oct 12th, 3:15-5:15pm

Please be prompt to practices and ready to work hard.  Just a reminder, ALL absences must be communicated to me and you are only allowed two absences for the season in order to participate.  Reminder that cell phones cannot be brought to practices unless you have the music for the routine, which is currently Mia and Maddie.

REMINDER:  I will be traveling to London October 4th-October 11th.  Mr. Grow has graciously agreed to oversee practice on October 10th (the focus will be cleaning up the senior night routine).  Any stunting while I’m out needs two include extra spots.  As always, please be sure you are practicing on your own on learning choreography and working on sharp & strong movements.

CHEER UPDATE 9/26

It’s homecoming week, which means it’s a busy, fun week!!

The following are the remaining practices for the season:

  • Monday, Sept 26th, 3:15-5:15pm
  • Wednesday, Sept 28th, 3:15-5:15pm (powder puff starts at 5:45 so no conflict)
  • Monday, Oct 3rd, 3:15-5:15pm (please note there is no school that day)
  • Monday, Oct 10th, 3:15-5:15 (Mr. Grow will be in charge)
  • Wednesday, Oct 12th, 3:15-5:15pm

This week we will sharpen up our HOCO routine and continue to work on the senior night routine, choreographed by Mia and Maddie.

We will also be part of the pep rally on September 30th at school, performing our HOCO routine, the school song and the year cheer.  For the game, you will need to arrive by 6pm and meet in the gym (volleyball practice ends at 6pm).  Be prompt and ready to go (in uniform, hair done, cheer shoes on, etc.) as we will need to warm up and practice the routine before the game.

Please be prompt to practices and ready to work hard.  Just a reminder, ALL absences must be communicated to me and you are only allowed two absences for the season in order to participate.  Reminder that cell phones cannot be brought to practices unless you have the music for the routine, which is currently Joslyn, Mia and Maddie.

REMINDER:  I will be traveling to London October 4th-October 11th.  Mr. Grow has graciously agreed to oversee practice on October 10th (the focus will be cleaning up the senior night routine).  As always, please be sure you are practicing on your own on learning choreography and working on sharp & strong movements.

CHEER UPDATE 9/12

Awesome job on the halftime routine at Friday’s game!!  The hard work paid off!

We have practice this week as follows:

  • Monday, Sept 12th, 3:15-5:15pm
  • Wednesday, Sept 14th, 3:15-5:15pm

This week we will work on the new routine, choreographed by Joslyn, and stunting.  Our next game is homecoming on September 30th!  We will also be part of the pep rally on September 30th at school, performing our routine, the school song and the year cheer.

Please be prompt to practices and ready to work hard.  Just a reminder, ALL absences must be communicated to me and you are only allowed two absences for the season in order to participate.  Reminder that cell phones cannot be brought to practices unless you have the music for the routine, which is currently Joslyn.

CANCELED PRACTICE:  I will be traveling to London October 4th-October 11th.  Mr. Grow has graciously agreed to oversee practice on October 10th (the focus will be cleaning up the homecoming routine) and I will need to cancel practice on October 5th.  As always, please be sure you are practicing on your own on learning choreography and working on sharp & strong movements.

Cheer Update 8/29

Please remember Wednesday, 8/31, is fall sports picture day!  Pictures will occur sometime during practice.  I will hand out the long sleeves today as we will wear those for pictures – please wear your white cheer shoes as well.  Hair is your choice but please no bows so we’re somewhat consistent.

Just a reminder, ALL absences must be communicated to me and you are only allowed two absences for the season in order to participate.  The season is short and we only practice twice a week.

This week we will review sideline cheers and finish learning the halftime routine (please be working on these on your own) so next week we can move on and learn the school song and more stunts.
